.G723 - Raw CCITT/ITU G.723 3/5-bit ADPCM format data
.G723-3 - Raw CCITT/ITU G.723 3-bit (24-kbps) ADPCM format data
.G723-5 - Raw CCITT/ITU G.723 5-bit (40 kbps) ADPCM format data
Notes:
There's no standard file extension for this data type and there's no way to auto-detect it. You need to use one of the following file extensions to tell the program what format it is:
- Use a file extension of .G723-3 for 3 bits/codeword (24 kbps at 8000 Hz).
- Use a file extension of .G723-5 for 5 bits/codeword (40 kbps at 8000 Hz).
- An extension of .G723 is assumed to be 3 bits/codeword - this may be wrong though, so it's better if you use one of the above.
Data can also be stored in either 'little endian' or 'big endian' bit-streams.
If you don't know which of them you want, you'll have to experiment.
When needed, Awave Studio will then pop up a dialog and ask you for any additional information needed.
In Awave Audio, you select the endian-ness in the Format options... dialog.
Features:
- ADPCM 3 / 5-bit lossy compression, mono.
